#the100dayproject : 2022 : 15/100 - birthday wishes

i decided to use a sentiment from an older stamp set - i really like that it isn't just your typical "happy birthday" but a little spin on it with "birthday wishes". i used a variety of fun patterned papers from this collection by my favorite things along with some scraps from my stash.

i was so excited [and slightly relieved!] when the spin on the inspiration wheel earlier today landed on birthday - because i definitely needed to make a card for a friend who is celebrating tomorrow!

as i've mentioned several times in past posts, birthday cards are some of my favorites to make. they always seem to be some of my best sellers and i think even hallmark would agree that they're one type of card that people send most often. for this reason i like them to be fun, bright and colorful and i hope that they make the recipient's special day a little bit brighter!

while i'm working on a bunch of extras and specialty items, i'm not ignoring or forgetting about #the100dayproject - today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on pattern play. a little while back i picked up a stack of designer patterned paper that isn't my usual style as sort of a challenge for myself. today i selected a floral pattern and chose to create some handmade thank you cards! my stash has been running low so they've been on my to-make list!

in terms of the handmade card for today - the inspiration wheel landed on birthday and i was jazzed to create another card that will soon join the others in the birthday category of my online shop. i've been mentioning that i'll be adding a bunch of cards to the shop over the next few weeks and i plan to add a good amount from the most recent days over the next few days. i'm trying to tackle a few at a time and batch upload them! so thanks for your patience!
