today's card came together with the help of friends who suggested that i make a card including the following details:

- birthday

- dark blue

- rhinos

- stripes

okay...that was a challenge, but one that i enjoyed. these cards took forever to make, but mostly because i die-cut so many elements and hand colored nearly every detail.

while there are so many negative feelings surrounding #quarantine2020, i do think that an abundance of good has occurred as well. for example, i've seen a ton of inspiring cards, art projects, inspirational quotes and overall positive motivation all over social media. many of these things are inspiring me and carrying over to my cards during #the100dayproject.

the black lines around the perimeter of the envelope were added with one of my favorite pens. it's a black glaze pen and it adds the slightest bit of texture but writes so smoothly. it is also reflective in the light. 

as for the card itself - i'll apologize now to anyone who might get or be offended [sorry momma!] with the saying on this card. i assure everyone it's all in good fun! [plus it's from the amazing cathy zielske stamp set and you all know how much i adore her.]

one of my bosses at work asked if i could make a card for her nunnie's 90th birthday since she'll be spending it in quarantine. her only requests/suggestions were that it be a bigger sized card so lots of people could sign it and then also that it might have purple or flowers in it.

happy last monday of the year friends! it's hard to believe that 2019 has gone so quickly! the end of the year always sneaks up on me and i hate to admit that the card i made + mailed last week was for a friend's birthday [after the fact!] here's hoping my friend didn't mind the card being late, but appreciated the fact i sent it!  i combined some scraps of black and white patterned paper with a tone-on-tone green patterned piece to form the bottom portion of this card. using this set from lawn fawn, i stamped the adorable...
