but in all seriousness, i couldn't do what i do without the help of this guy. during show season he's right there with me, doing all the heavy lifting and talking me up to anyone and everyone. he's great at feedback and at suggesting ideas for things i would never think of and i love when he keeps me company in the craft castle. he encourages me to spend far too much money on new supplies ["because you need them, obviously" is one of his go-to lines] and he's one of the most incredible humans i've ever met. so it's well deserved that he earns employee of the month. love you babe!
okay...onto the card for today! the inspiration wheel landed on heat embossing and sometimes that intimidates me. however, i decided to try a few different things.

it was a looong day of picking and pulling product, double checking invoices, packaging orders, weighing and labeling everything and updating the system to send shipping alerts. jon stayed up with me til 4 am and was an excellent helper!

those feelings sparked some positive ideas and inspiration for today's card. the wheel landed on 'one layer' and i have a new stamp set that i've been itching to get out of the packaging. [side note on new products - there are going to be a plethora of new ideas and products because i went *slightly* overboard supporting small crafty businesses this weekend!]

i'll be adding this card, [along with a few others that i managed to create today], into the online shop tomorrow. i've still got a few other surprises to share and i'm super jazzed about the online events for both the virtual holiday makers market as well as the shop holiday handmade. it's such a good feeling to support small businesses and i can't wait to see what everyone else has in store!

a good problem for me to have is when cards sell out. a bad problem is when cards that are on all my promotional materials for two virtual events sell out before the event even starts! so...that being said, i'm recreating one of my favorite cards, which works out perfectly as the inspiration wheel landed on pattern play. this time i'm using a variety of colors with some mixed up patterns. and even though the cards aren't fully completed, i can still share some details.
