today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on pattern play and i have to admit that while i was working on creating the card, i kinda forgot what i was supposed to be doing. so it has some patterns, but if you focus solely on that element, it's a little boring. it happens, right?

it was a looong day of picking and pulling product, double checking invoices, packaging orders, weighing and labeling everything and updating the system to send shipping alerts. jon stayed up with me til 4 am and was an excellent helper!

today's card is a little different than any i've made before and i haven't yet decided how i feel about the end result. the inspiration wheel landed on die-cut element and some additional inspiration/motivation came from helping a friend pack up her moving truck - so my thoughts steered me towards a miss you type card. [have i mentioned how much i'm going to miss her?!]

as for the card, i started with a light grey panel and stamped a shelf near the upper right side. i decided to use a new stamp set and i love the layering options! the shelf has a base and then an additional stamp over it to create a wood finish. the pot that is sitting on the shelf is one color and then an additional stamp adds the pattern. as for the plant itself, i used several shades of green to give it a little ombre look - darker near the roots and lighter green as it grows!
