speaking of having, today i have another handmade card that was inspired by this one i made the other day. i am loving this stamp set and finding myself reaching for it a ton! the inspiration wheel landed on color swatch and luckily for me, the result was one i could incorporate into this card i've had in mind.

happy friday friends! we made it to the weekend! personally i am super jazzed about a day off [tomorrow] to enjoy some creative projects, some cleaning & organizational projects and the return of michigan football! woot woot for that!
i'm not sure about you, but this week was a doozy. i'm not sure if it was a full moon or the change in weather, but it seems like no matter where i was - people were crazy. or - maybe it's me, who knows?

i have a newer stamp set from simon says stamp that's been sitting on my desk for a few days and i've been waiting to use it. i decided that this color combination would work well for a collage-style card. instead of making something purely graphic with designs, i decided to create a focal point with sentiments and then add some supporting detail.

today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on color swatch, so i busted out the book i made for round one of #the100dayproject. i used siri on my phone who helped to select a number between 100-200 [167] and i pulled the corresponding ink colors. after scheming up a design in my head for a bit, i decided to create a 1-layer card and to use a new stamp set that arrived this weekend.

this might be the first card that i've made during this challenge with the color swatch where i haven't used every color of ink. i decided to take a slightly different route and so i began with four shades of brown ink and one olive-greeny ink that was similar to the saffron spice. i used distress inks and i blended them together to create my background panel by watercoloring. each card of the four that i made is slightly different and i love that!
