my card for today was inspired by a technique i saw on social media, combining distress ink and water to create a watercolor like effect. i received two packages of happy mail in the form of supplies today [#quarantine2020 has definitely increased my online shopping!] and i wanted to use one of the new sets.

while i've been working to add positive and uplifting designs to my storefront, over the next few days i plan to add in some mother's day cards since that's the next big event coming up. i think a special card, perhaps paired with a small group of blank cards and postage stamps could be a wonderful and meaningful gift - something to consider for sure.

happy sunday - it's my friday night! yay! one of the perks of my current schedule is that i work four long days and then get three off, so tonight is actually my friday night, one of two! i was super jazzed to come home and work on today's card because the color swatch is super fun.

a few weeks ago i was able to lead a small group of women with some card making techniques and i made a few samples for them. the first card i'm featuring today was inspired by one of my sample cards. while this card is super simple in design, i'm really digging the way it came together. i'm a huge fan of black and white designs and this patterned paper had a great floral design, while being somewhat abstract.  i cut a section of the patterned paper so that it wasn't too overwhelming and adhered it to the right side of a white...
