today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on one-layer card and so i decided to use some stamps from a set that i used to make this one of a kind card a few weeks back. i had so many comments on it that i wanted to try something new! the layering capabilities are so awesome, it was so much fun!

as for #the100dayproject - the inspiration wheel landed on inside element. i decided to use a few newer products including an adorable patterned paper that i recently picked up. i wanted to make a friendship-style card and while it's somewhat basic, i think it would be perfect for making someone's day.

i pulled a few colors of ink and decided to use the same stamp over and over to create a pattern that i would then add a sentiment to. moving in rainbow order [of course!] i inked up the stamp, spritzed it with water and smooshed it onto the paper. i elected to use heavy weight cardstock instead of watercolor paper which changed the end result a bit, but i like it.

i don't know about where you live, but where i'm at in ohio - it's really starting to feel like fall weather. when i woke up this morning it was 38 degrees outside and it only got to be about 52 degrees as a high today! brrr! despite being chilly all day, i decided to channel some of the beautiful aspects of fall - the changing colors of leaves specifically - for today's handmade card.

today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on color swatch, so i busted out the book i made for round one of #the100dayproject. i used siri on my phone who helped to select a number between 100-200 [167] and i pulled the corresponding ink colors. after scheming up a design in my head for a bit, i decided to create a 1-layer card and to use a new stamp set that arrived this weekend.
