#the100dayproject : handmade card 45/100-2 : you got this slimline

today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on slimline again and i decided to try something a little bit different - but mostly in terms of inspiration! you know how when you think of something, randomly adds and sponsored posts start showing up on social media? [just me?] i pinned something on pinterest the other day in regards to boho rainbows and when i opened it earlier, my feed was flooded with whimsical rainbows in glorious shades of browns, tans, pinks, golds and dusty blues. i decided to use this as my inspiration for today's card.

i was pretty jazzed when the inspiration wheel landed on pattern play today - i've been itching for a reason to use coordinating patterns. one of my favorite ways to do this is to utilize 6x6 paper pads. generally speaking, the colors coordinate and often share patterns/themes that mix well together. plus, the designs are smaller than traditional 12x12 pages so they look amazing on cards!

in about two weeks i'm planning on beginning a project called the 100 day project. you can check out more details here. it's my intention to make a card [or a few of the same design] everyday for 100 days. i think that in order for me to be successful at this, i need to plan ahead.

i post on instagram and it's probably my favorite way to post and share. i love the background that i designed [with the canva app] and it's on my agenda, especially once this month is over, to make a calendar to have more scheduled and planned posts. i enjoy searching hashtags and discovering many makers who make incredible things. it's something that i'm still learning about, but i'm enjoying the process.
