i pulled a few colors of ink and decided to use the same stamp over and over to create a pattern that i would then add a sentiment to. moving in rainbow order [of course!] i inked up the stamp, spritzed it with water and smooshed it onto the paper. i elected to use heavy weight cardstock instead of watercolor paper which changed the end result a bit, but i like it.

holy wow man, the photos don't even begin to do this card justice! the lighting plays off of the holographic strip and the colors dance like they're at a rave!

i have a newer stamp set from simon says stamp that's been sitting on my desk for a few days and i've been waiting to use it. i decided that this color combination would work well for a collage-style card. instead of making something purely graphic with designs, i decided to create a focal point with sentiments and then add some supporting detail.

for the first time this round, the inspiration wheel landed on slimline card! i'm both excited and intimidated by this style since i don't have a lot of practice with them. on today's card i combined some awesome patterned paper along with a variety of die-cuts and one of my favorite elements - rainbow colors!

i was thinking of card ideas and i wanted to incorporate part of the message from the song along with a new background. i used the cloud stencil from lawn fawn and a variety of distress inks. i'm not entirely sure i'm using the stencil the right way, but i'm pleased with the results.
