as i've mentioned over the last couple days, i have some things in the works coming up. two of these things are virtual online events that i'll be participating in during the end of the month/beginning of december along with a slew of super talented makers. so many shows, festivals and events have been cancelled and i feel like this is the best option for me to try and reach more people while sharing more handmade happiness.

one of my favorite things to do, specifically for wedding cards is to celebrate the couple and their new last name! i've done this for a handful of friends in a variety of ways, but this particular style is one of my favorites. it makes me so happy when i hear back [or personally see] that the card has been framed and/or is on display in their home - my heart melts!

today's spin on the inspiration wheel ended up on the wedge dedicated to heat embossing. i had an idea in mind for when i landed on this and i'm so thrilled with the way that it turned out!

so i've had this idea in my mind for quite some time and tonight, despite it being super late when i got home from work, i decided to try it. 

i am so happy that i did because i absolutely love it. i ended up making two cards in the same style for two friends & i cannot wait to hand deliver them! i'm also sharing a bunch of photos because i'm just so happy with the results!

i wanted to make her a thank you card, but i didn't want the card to specifically say "thank you." [in my head, when i send people cards they display them as tiny works of art, so i prefer to use sentiments that can be inspirational when i can. i'm well aware most cards get thrown away but a girl can dream.]
