#the100dayproject : 11/100

happy friday!

for most people [in a normal situation] this would be the start of the weekend, but for me it's the middle of the work week. i couldn't wait to come home and get crafty.

i was pretty excited about the color swatch today - a nice blend of neutrals and a very rustic feel.

today is another one layer card [for the most part] even though i stamped on a panel and then layered that onto the card base. i also added a little twine which is visible from the inside of the card, but it adds a nice little detail.

i actually used the same stamp and all five colors from the swatch to stamp repeatedly on the panel in a free-form pattern. the circle is not perfectly round and the text in the middle reads "wild & free" on each one. near the middle of the panel, around one of the circles is the additional text "find your happy place" which is stamped in dark brown ink.

three arrow-like pointers come from the left side of the panel towards the right side.

the natural twine is knotted near the top of the card and the color just blends flawlessly with the others from the swatch. i always forget how much i like adding ribbon and twine to cards, but i really, really do.

i think this card could be great as an everyday style of card, but also a reminder to find your happy place wherever you can. maybe it's coffee with friends or maybe it's a date to target or maybe it's just a walk in the park together. i know social distancing is so hard for everyone right now, but brighter days are ahead and this card can be a great gateway to getting together.

i hope you're enjoying your weekend the best that you can - i'll be back tomorrow with number 12, woot woot!
