happy sunday - it's my friday night! yay! one of the perks of my current schedule is that i work four long days and then get three off, so tonight is actually my friday night, one of two! i was super jazzed to come home and work on today's card because the color swatch is super fun.
seeing the swatches together gives me a glimpse of all the colors that let me visualize them in a multitude of ways. to me, these felt pretty summery to me and one of my initial thoughts was ice cream or popsicles, but i ended up going flowery.
i continued the subtle stitched detail with the background rectangle, the circle and the small rectangle with the sentiment. keeping on trend with the past few days, this is another card with an uplifting message. "you've been on my mind" is stamped in green ink on the small green rectangle.
a trio of flowers in the orange and pink shades fill the circle with a burst of happiness. the sentiment is raised off of the card base with foam tape.
i don't typically consider myself a person who gravitates towards flowers, but every now and then the mood hits me. today i'm really happy with the way this card came together, even though it isn't what i originally had in mind.
this card, along with the last few days will be added to my shop in the next few days. i'm really looking forward to some creative time and being able to branch out on some events and things coming up.
i would love to hear any requests you might have for upcoming cards - feel free to send me a message!
