#the100dayproject : 27/100

today i'm sharing another card - but this one has no stamping [that's two days in a row if you're counting!]

the card today is also another one of a kind. i'm sending it to some pretty special people who went out of their way to share some kindness with me and i just want them to know how much i appreciate it.

i decided to use another panel of alcohol inked goodness, but in a different way. today i die-cut the panel from an amazing background die that i love [and don't use nearly enough!] the shapes cut out are various sizes of speech bubbles and i thought it would be perfect.

i only used a few of them instead of the entire background. i love the way the negative space between the bubbles divides them up, yet the color swirls continue from one to the next.

i'm also slightly obsessed with the color of this envelope and i definitely need to get some of the coordinating cardstock. it's such a gorgeous color and makes me so happy.

i also die-cut the word "thanks" from shiny black cardstock and layered it on top of the speech bubbles. using one of my favorite gel pens, i outlined the perimeter of the card front.

i love the way the light reflects off of the metallic aspects of this card front. every time you move it, you see a new detail. [usually i despise nighttime photographs because of shadows, even with some helpful aspects]

just look at how awesome that shine and gold and mix of colors is! ahhhh it makes me so happy! definitely confirms that i'm gonna need to make more backgrounds this week. this is maybe one of my favorite color combos ever, which is surprising since i wasn't always a huge fan of gold.

gosh - i turn it and just love it even more. sidenote, i'm totally fine being a dork and obsessed with angles and colors.

thank you notes are one of my favorite kinds to write - i don't think anyone gets sick of being thanked for some gesture they did or ways they helped. it's a good way to make someone's day and i'm all about that!

here's looking forward to a great week ahead with a serious chunk of creative time of the agenda!
