#the100dayproject : 36/100

hey friends!

so starting with an update, i was in the office today and the puppers started barking like crazy! jon went to investigate and by some random act of happiness, my missing package with new supplies showed up! i'm not even going to question it, i'm just so excited about it!

i ordered something and then thought that i shouldn't have. it's a stencil that includes both the negative and the positive. i thought that i could have just die-cut the same shape from paper and used it, but after playing around with it tonight, i'm so excited that i did order it. it's just so crisp and clean.

i busted out a handful of distress inks and got to blending. i used four colors - carved pumpkin, abandoned coral, picked raspberry and wilted violet. i just love the way they blend together.

i die-cut the word "smile" from black cardstock which matches the card base, and layered it over the blended circle. fun fact - i used the dot on the i [actually called the tiddle] which is weird because i never dot my i's when writing. i added a smattering of clear sequins because i just love them and i even added a few strips of patterned washi tape near the bottom of the panel.

i have oodles of washi tape. seriously, so much washi. i'll share a photo when i reveal my office tour, but i often forget to use it! i've been adding it to envelopes on outgoing mail [instead of licking them shut] and that's what inspired me to use it on this card - mostly because it's still out.

some people cut their washi, but i'm a natural tearer. i like the uneven lines - which is super surprising considering how cdo i am.

this card is sure to make someone's day and i'm so glad that i was able to make four of them. i am going to be adding this - and the others from recent posts - to the online shop either tomorrow or thursday. i also have some plans for graduation cards because even with the chaos of this uncertain time, kiddos still graduate.

36 down, 64 to go!
