#the100dayproject : 79/100

on today's card i used a stamp from a set that i bought primarily for one single stamp. it's not often that i do this as i like to have a variety of options when i'm creating, and now that i own the set i'm sure i'll use all of the stamps - but i bought it for one single stamp, and that's the stamp i'm using today.

i began with a strip of lawn fawn's patterned paper which has soft colors and a mix of wide and thin diagonal stripes. i paired it with a soft stone background which i embossed in an all-over swiss dot texture. i die-cut a square, similar in style to yesterday and then stamped the image in the center, in a slightly darker shade than the aqua square.

yep. soft and delicate colors accented by the bold sentiment, "punch today in the face" because honestly - some days need that kind of motivation. i elevated the square with faux stitching off of the card panel with foam tape and added a smattering of clear sparkly sequins.

i used a sketch from mft as the basis for this card because after cutting the striped patterned paper, i didn't like the idea i originally had in mind. it's a little different than my typical style, but the more i look at it, the more it's growing on me.

hard to believe that i only have 21 more days in this challenge/project until i hit the 100 day mark! i've got so many ideas left to share and i'm busy working on my to do list of all thing business related, especially since shows this summer are quickly becoming non-existent.

i'll be back tomorrow with card number 80!
