so today i colored another little doggo image that i stamped and die-cut out. this time i made it look similar to hercules. i love using prismacolor markers. i don't have nearly enough of them but i so enjoy blending colors and making images come to life. while i'm not the best colorer [is that even a word?] i'm looking forward to trying some new techniques throughout this challenge!

for day 87 of #the100dayproject, i'm recreating a card that is similar to one i've made in the past. as i've mentioned, i generally only make a few of each style because i like to have a wide variety. however, there are a few that i've made over and over because they tend to be pretty popular.

there's just something about fresh fruit [i'm thinking pineapples, watermelons and all the citruses] that remind me of summer. the freshness, the juicy qualities, the vibrant tastes they all exhibit - i just love them all. i'm channeling one of these fruits on today's card.

today's card was inspired by yesterday's card in the sense that i decided to utilize scrap pieces of paper from my stash. i also wanted to use a newer sentiment from the pretty pink posh set and as an added challenge to myself, i selected patterned papers that were all in the same color family. a few of them have other minor color details, but for the most part it's a monochromatic card.

i decided to make a mini card for my favorite human to wake up to. a few years ago i made him a mini card everyday for the entire year. i have them all saved in our w2 scrapbook and it's been a minute since i made him one. plus, one of the sentiments on a newer stamp set just spoke to me.
