Mail It Monday #6

Mail It Monday #6

hello friends!

thanks for coming to check out the details of this week's mail it monday cards.

i mailed out two cards this week and i'm pretty jazzed with the way both of them turned out. here's the first one:

this one was mailed to my bestie - she's amazing at providing advice and opinions for all my crafty adventures and in general she's one of the most amazing people i know. i used some adorable patterned paper from this doodlebug paper pad and paired it with a sentiment stamp for a play on words/pun accent.

i die-cut two small banners with stitched detail from yellow and orange polka dotted paper before adding a tiny staple and adding foam tape for dimension. a lime green envelope was the perfect match to this card - i wanted the design to be simple so that the message was the focus. overall, i'm pretty happy with the way that it turned out and i'm sure it made her smile.

the next card i made was a thank you card for a local maker/creative that i recently met.

she makes these amazing headbands and at a local show a few weeks ago i bought one. then i stalked her instagram feed and found this one and she agreed to snail mail it to me! i've already gotten so many compliments on both of them. i'm looking forward to networking with her and i really want her to know how much i appreciate her.

i managed to use up some scraps with this card and i'm really digging the wonky-ness of it. i added in some hand drawn black lines with the occasional dot using a black gel marker. "thanks" is stamped in black ink near the bottom - this isn't my typical kind of card, but i'm thrilled with the way it turned out.

with this being the week of thankgiving, i'm planning on sending a few grateful cards to some special people and i also have a few other ideas in mind as well.

in case you need a few reasons to write up some snail mail, check out these upcoming dates:

november 28 - thanksgiving

november 30 - national mason jar day - this could be a great card to send to a friend to help celebrate!

december 1 - national eat a red apple day

december 2 - national mutt day

i'm very thankful for all those who support my snail mail business in one way or another! i hope you have a wonderful week and are able to spend time with family and friends. if you're in the market for gift ideas involving cards, be sure to stop back throughout the week for additional posts!
