#the100dayproject : 2022 : 18/100 - you're the sweetest

another day of #the100dayproject and another inspiration wheel spin landing on embossed. so far this round, this has been one of the most landed on!

i began making today's card by stamping and heat embossing an image of a smiling pineapple playing maracas, because why not? i then colored in the image with my prismacolor markers. 

i knew i wanted to do something a little different for the background of this card, so i pulled out some of my pearlized alcohol inks with colors resembling a pineapple. using a blower tool i was able to spread the inks across the white panel. once i got a result i was happy with, i let the panel dry. it has this amazing shimmery quality to it - it's difficult to photograph but it looks so freaking cool in real life!

i added the smiling, happy pineapple to the bottom right corner of the panel, using pop dots to raise him up a little for added dimension. i used black ink to stamp the sentiment "you're the sweetest" near the top left of the panel. then, the entire panel was adhered to a red-orange card base, coordinating with the color of the pineapple's maracas. 

i absolutely love the way this turned out. the plan was to make more than one, but i need to give it a few days and see how the ink dries on the panel - this was a new step for me because the white panel is a specialty paper. however, even if i only make one, at least it turned out awesome!
